DON DIABLO TO APPEAR ON "MTV CRIBS" REBOOT

The Dutch electronic music artist will join celebrities like Caitlyn Jenner, Stefflon Don, Christine Quinn, and more for the rebooted series.

While we constantly find ourselves reminiscing about what life was like before everything fun was shut down, MTV International decided to double down on the nostalgia with a reboot of the fan-favorite TV series, MTV Cribs. For those unfamiliar with the show, it's essentially a series of real estate tours where celebrities show off their luxurious homes and remind us that they have much more money than we do.

Fans who want a closer look into the life of Don Diablo are in luck because the renowned future house producer has been confirmed as one of the celebrities to be featured on MTV Cribs reboot. On Instagram, he shared a trailer that features a brief appearance from him and confirmed his involvement in the series.

The MTV Cribs reboot premiered on October 26th and featured the homes of Caitlyn Jenner and Stefflon Don, among others. It's not yet clear when the episode featuring Don Diablo will premiere, but fans can watch full episodes and view the show's schedule on MTV International's website.

CLUB GLOW (DC) BOUGHT BY INSOMNIAC

Intended to establish an East Coast home base for Insomniac, it was recently announced that the club had been acquired  by the huge event promotion firm.

The acquisition actually took place in 2019 and was just announced in part to let current employees know that they would not only be able to return to their jobs in the future but that additional events may be added above the past schedule of the venue.

The original plan was for the announcement of the deal to be made at the 2020 Winter Music Conference by Club Glow owner Pete Kalamoutsos.

Kalamoutsos told Billboard:

It’s good to give them hope. We’re coming back, it’s going to be bigger than ever and we’ve got incredible things planned cant wait to tell everyone about.”

Club Glow consists of Echostage, the award-winning larger venue and the more intimate Soundcheck.

Pasquale Rotella, CEO of Insomniac also told Billboard:

“We have have been working together in the past few years promoting dance music culture and I’m always watching for people who make an impact. A goal of mine has always been to work with the people that are essentially cut from the same cloth and have the passion with the roots to the culture. Pete’s a fan he’s stuck with it and what he started is as popular today. And he is pushing the music forward and pushing the culture for forward.”

Audition any part of a track by touching its waveform in the right place in the browse section. With multiple CDJ-3000 players connected to the DJM-V10 or DJM-900NXS2 mixer via Pro DJ Link, you can even preview tracks from another player with Link Cue.

Touch Cue

Listen to another part of the track that’s playing by touching the waveform – the crowd won’t hear you. Learn the progression of a track and identify a mix point — useful during DJ handovers and back-to-back sets. Use Link Cue to listen to a track on another player.

Stacked Waveform

Keep an eye on the enlarged waveform of the track on the master player and the one you want to cue up, all on one screen. Identify mix points and visually check the beatgrids are perfectly lined up at a glance.

Support for 3Band Waveform

Understand a track’s sound without even listening to it. 3Band Waveform uses different colors to show the volume of each frequency band in files analyzed by rekordbox, so you can see a track’s composition at a glance. RGB and blue waveform options are also available.

Eight Hot Cue buttons

Intuitively trigger Hot Cues via the 8 buttons that run from left to right underneath the waveform display. The linear positioning makes it feel more natural to select cue points according to their position in the track.

Dedicated Beat Jump buttons

Jump forward or backward from the current playback position in the track by pressing the dedicated Beat Jump buttons. You can set the quantized number of beats to a value of 1/2, 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, or 64 beats.

Advanced Auto Beat Loop section

As well as the popular 4-Beat Loop control from the CDJ-2000NXS2, the CDJ-3000 includes an 8-Beat Loop button for further creative options. Want to make polyrhythmic loops? Use the expanded options for odd-numbered loops to remix sounds on the fly.
